Morrinsville Information Centre & Morrinsville Promotion Association

Welcome to the Morrinsville Information Centre. We are open from Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm. (closed weekends and public holidays).

We offer helpful information to visitors passing through as well as assisting the residents of Morrinsville and the wider community. 

Our shelves are well stocked with up to date Maps and Brochures of New Zealand destinations. In addition we are the local agent for Intercity Coachlines.

Sports Clubs, Service Groups, Schools, Kindergartens and other organisations promote their events through the Information Centre. We regularly update our notice boards with “whats on” in our town and can promote these events through our weekly chat on “The Breeze” radio station.

This is also the registered office of Morrinsville Business & Promotion Association.

In August 2008 Morrinsville Promotion Association and Business Morrinsville Inc. merged to form the new Morrinsville Business & Promotion Association (known as MPA or Morrinsville Promotion Association).

MPA are responsible for a variety of events held annually for the benefit of Morrinsville and the wider community. Most notable are the Morrinsville Fireworks Extravaganza and The Murray Oaks Craft & Fun Day (a jointly run event with Kiwanis) both held in November, Christmas Parade (2nd weekend of December) and The Harvest Food & Wine Festival (February).

MPA is run by a dedicated team of volunteers from the business sector of the town through various committee’s and sub-committee’s and the Promotions Manager.

Morrinsville Promotion Association has two types of membership:

Business Membership:
Annual cost of $195.00 plus gst
(What do you get for your $$$: mention of your business on the website; regular newsletters; notification of upcoming events; opportunity of taking part in promotions/events; networking; business after 5 seminars; information on your business or service through the Info Centre; name on the “Wall of Fame”)
 
Associate Membership:
Annual cost of $55.00 plus gst
(What do you get for your $$$: mention of your club/organisation and the services you provide on display at the Info Centre; promotion of your events over the radio; details of your event/activity can be listed on the website; contribution to the continued running of the Info Centre)
